About
As an association executive and marketing/communications expert delivering results means consistently meeting revenue goals and creating successful campaigns by telling my organization’s stories. In each role, blending data and research with creativity is accomplished by applying the latest technologies to craft strategy and build capacity. This can be challenging when leading organizations with a variety of budgets.
Communications Director for the National Association of Bond Lawyers is my current role, and I've also served as a board member and community activist for the Indian Spring Citizens Association as well as a producer of the inaugural Silver Spring/Takoma Park Restaurant Week.
Carefully crafting key messages to resonate with stakeholders engaging customers, federal and state policy-makers, sponsors, and the media, helps advance an organization’s mission and drive revenue.

This is where a positive attitude, good energy, and a team-oriented approach enhance value. I put that to work by volunteering for local charities and giving back to my own professional community, serving American Society for Association Executives (ASAE) Gold Circle Awards Committee, AANHPI Advisory Group, and as a past member of the Small Staff Association Committee (view presentation).

This special collaboration was developed by The Amos Group's SchoolBondNetwork and EDmarket's EDspaces teams. It allows district facilities and senior administrators to connect with their peers, access highly relevant content, be a part of problem-solving, and help schools prepare for the safe return of students and faculty post-COVID-19.
EDspaces is about creating the best learning environments, connecting all the key stakeholders in education to make a difference in student outcomes.
Schools, colleges, and universities with some of the most wide-ranging and demanding facility needs for success (financially and academically) can visualize the future of their environments through content-rich video.
This project was part of the EDspaces conference focusing on the future of educational facilities and the stewardship cafeteria and lounge areas for learning environments.
Chef Greg and his team developed a comprehensive session tied to the conference's cafeteria, where nutritious school meals were served to attendees as part of the session. Meter boards, a website, email array, and press releases were developed as part of a comprehensive content marketing campaign.
I met Tom Hucker, Montgomery County Council Member through a number of community events I was helping to organize. When I discovered he was organizing the revitalization of Silver Spring Restaurant Week from decades past, I wanted to help.
I knew several restaurant owners who would want to participate through work and connections made during past community event organizing. Coordinating with Tom's staff, I was able to bring them aboard the now-annual event.
EDmarket's Patent Recognition Program
This newly established program celebrates innovation and ethical design for learning environments. It is part of the American tradition of ingenuity, spotlighting companies who earn a U.S. patent, recognizing them as inventive organizations who transform ideas into action and develop products for advancing student outcomes.

It serves as a multifaceted channel for educational facilities community promoting information-sharing, from suppliers to the professionals who approve expenditures and the specifiers designing learning spaces.
The idea started with a private/nonprofit partnership membership program and inspired some creative thinking (and brand development) about a positive way to address the pandemic.
As the event for connecting key stakeholders who are designing, building, equipping, and managing learning environments, this event explores how the convergence of technology, space, and pedagogy impact learning.
It's a complex concept to communicate, so it has to happen with carefully crafted plans, strategy, and implementation. There is a multitude of offerings including social and educational components, as well as offsite events and tours. Communicating customized messages to reach seven unique target audiences has made this an exciting challenge to meet.
Innovative product and furniture design isn't just for office spaces, it's an integral part of learning spaces, too. Forming a media and award partnership has provided an additional promotional outlet.
The EDspaces Innovation award recognizes these companies and showcases the next generation in building/energy efficiencies, new products, school safety, and for modern educational facilities. Review the advertorial for more information.
A multi-media approach gave the Roberts Real Estate brokerage a fresh, modern presentation platform. Much of the marketing leg-work entailed content development for social media, email campaigns, and a corporate website. As relationship-marketing is the foundation of this business model, we supported these channels with an introduction Prezi, something a little more interactive than the average slide deck.
